We had no idea how this message had spread and the extent of the impact it has had on individuals. [...]]]> Just took off from Austin Texas, on our way to the UK, after spending the last 33 days, from Sept 28 to October 31, meeting the most amazing people all over the USA & Canada.

We had no idea how this message had spread and the extent of the impact it has had on individuals. What a joy to discover you all! I’m trying to keep my joy from spilling over into tears while on the plane, but as I start to think of everyone we met, and the words of life that we shared, I am simply overwhelmed.

Just last night a precious friend (who travelled 3 hours one way to be at the meeting) shared how this message has brought such an awareness of the value of every person. The image and likeness of God is irresistibly attractive. The morning after she heard this message, she was in a public restroom, when she saw another lady and became so aware of her beauty and value in God’s eyes … she went over and said: may I hug you! The hug was very much appreciated!
Like Paul, we can no longer look at any person from a human point of view. To love every man (even enemies) comes so naturally when we understand the logic of His love.

In addition to planning a similar tour next year (March – May 2012), we were also invited to be the speakers on the ‘Religious Detox Cruise’ -that is going to be amazing! Brazil and Columbia are also on our hearts … met such a precious friend who will be helping to set that up.

This morning I got an email from Jozsef, he wrote:
It’s amazing. Last Friday a lady from the church shared this. It happened with her before the conference (with Andre). So before the conference she was suddenly awake at 3.00 o’clock in the morning, she was totally awake and heard an audible voice which said: ‘You need to find God in each others!!’  She did not understand and asked back, Is it a Scripture? The voice said again the same: ‘You need to find God in each other!!’  And the audible voice said: ‘This is the proof (approval) that this teaching is from God!’   I just felt that God confirm the preaching with sign. Amazing:).

God’s plan from the very start was to display His life in human form. The incarnation was never motivated out of need … it was His idea to become a man from the very start. He designed you for Himself … and Himself for you. (1 Cor 6:13)

Tomorrow we arrive in the UK, we’ll spend about 5 days there and then start another 2 month journey through South Africa. So looking forward to see our precious daughter, Shirley-Anne. 

I’m so glad that it is neither a future heaven nor a future hell that motivates us to share this good news with people … if gratitude is not the driving force, rather stay at home, because any other motivation but love will produce such an ugly manipulative message. The good news is first and foremost not a message that tells you how to get a ticket to heaven and avoid hell – it is the good news of how He left heaven to enter man! He sees something of such enormous value in His image and likeness that He was willing to leave heaven and empty Himself into human form. (Phil 2:7)

This is a message whose time has come! A message that originates where man originates, will resonate within you when you hear it!

1 That which is most significant in time, first in position, and highest in rank, that which is original entered our ears and we recognised it’s authenticity. It opened our eyes and we have gazed upon it ever since! This Word is life and has become a present and tangible reality for us. 2 Life appeared and captured our attention – we resonate with confirmation. We cannot but declare to you that this is absolute life, the way Father intended it from the very start. It is now so clear to us.
3 That which awakened our ears and arrested our attention, is what we declare to you, in the confidence that the same intimacy we enjoy, will be ignited in you also! This fellowship, this entanglement is with the Father and with His son Jesus Christ. 4 We write this that you may enjoy this perfect delight with us.

Friday [...]]]> We are overflowing with gratitude for the time we spent with old and new friends in Hungary. How to describe the significance and value of what happened … is a mystery to me! The activities and the ministry schedule cannot capture what happened, but they do provide a good context:

Friday 29 July we flew to Vienna. Ministry normally starts in the car journey from Vienna to Gyor … to be with Jozsef, ministers life to us! He refreshed us with stories about what has been happening in Hungary since our last visit, but most refreshing of all is his personal effortless enjoyment of Papa. Amazing how energised  and enthused we become when we enter His rest … the most active rest ever!

Zseged

At 4am the next morning we were up to go to Zseged and minister in the prison. The mobile bible school (as Jozsef named his car) fulfilled its purpose so well! We met with such precious believers (Vera, Ede and others), who faithfully minister in prison week in and week out. As far as anyone knew we were the first foreign ministers in this prison … and much effort went into allowing us this opportunity. Thanks to everyone. Beforehand we were warned that this is not a polite environment – the guards could come in from 11:30 and command the prisoners to leave.

What a confidence we can have in the gospel of Jesus Christ – it is more valid than our own personal past. What a joy to declare the success of what God achieved in Christ Jesus, to declare God’s heart, attitude and faith toward these men. Hearts were captured and it was evident in their eyes. We were also told beforehand that it would be unlikely for us to minister to these men individually (this prison is for the worst offenders), however Eugene asked the official again at the end of the preaching whether we could pray for people … permission was given … and all of them rushed to the front for prayer and ministry. There is no greater burden than guilt … and no greater joy than restored innocence! I get tears in my eyes remembering all of this again. Was so good to see Eugene and Tom minister in the power of His spirit. One man was so surprised as Eugene bent down and laid his hands on his knee … afterwards the man announced that he had suffered an injury in this knee and Papa healed him. It was 12:30 when we ended, without any impolite disruptions

The evening we ministered at a church in the same city, pastored by Gabor & Diana Fekete. I was so tired, I almost fell over during the singing … so I sat down and pretended to prepare . I’m so glad that His presence and power is not dependant on our feelings. This evening was one of the most powerful outpourings of revelation: the Word became flesh! God is not interested in being captured in institutions and doctrines – He desires to find unrestrained expression through you – He designed us for this very purpose – He is as close to us as the image and likeness in which we have been made. The light of understanding was visible on peoples faces. One young lady was so overwhelmed … she just wanted to know how to give expression to this … how to go into all the world. A dream was stirred within me … a dream to have a facility that can accommodate 20-30 young people at a time … a place to which we can invite them for a year and pour out this revelation into their lives … commissioning them to take it wherever God leads them.

One lady who was a visiting pastor from another church couldn’t wait to speak afterwards. She had a back problem but experienced the Lord ministering to her the whole service … she promptly stood up and touched her toes. We then ministered to each person individually – oh thank you Lord for the everlasting impact of this revelation. An experience might come and go, but this revelation makes His presence permanent.

Budapest

That evening we travelled to Karesz’ house in Budapest. Next morning (Sunday) another precious time at Istvan’s church in Budapest. What a joy to recognise the treasure God sees in people – such a precious congregation. So many stories to be told … but the same theme: God is not far. He has cancelled every possible definition of distance.

The evening we came back to Karesz’ house just in time to see his wife Maria. She was desperately ill and rushed off to hospital. I was so grateful for the few moments we had with her before she left. She could not be with us for the camp that started that week. Despite these difficult circumstances Karesz and his family had such visible peace … such a testimony to all the people at the camp.

Lake Balaton

The camp was about 150m from the shore – such a beautiful environment.

We were so blessed to see the translated booklets of ‘Imagine’! Vera translated 6 of the chapters specifically for the camp. Peter wrote in one of his letters that the reason for writing is to stir up you sincere minds by way of reminder … I don’t think we have any idea what a positive difference these booklets will make. Thank you Vera and Thomas and family!

Tuesday was given to chapter 1 & 2, God’s original thought and motivation.

Wednesday we looked at the difference between falling in love and a mechanical, rule dominated relationship.

Thursday, the meat of this revelation, the incarnation captured our hearts.

In the evenings we were blessed with the ministry of Ervin, Emiel, Karesz, Mary-Anne …

We were halfway and the full implication of what we said was becoming clear. I am so thankful for the liberty and boldness we were given to declare in the full light of day, exactly what we mean. Many questions were stirred. The morning sessions alone were not enough for some. The afternoon became a question & answer session. How do we understand ‘being born again’ in the light of this truth? Has God cancelled all distance between Himself and the sinner/unbeliever as well? etc.

It so blessed me that although we did not speak once about taking this message to the world … the reality of their value and the success of God embracing them in Christ, meant that people started talking about their excitement to share this truth with unbelievers.

By the evening so many overflowed with this awareness of God’s closeness. Those who had not experienced what it was like for His spirit to overflow through them in new languages, came forward and effortlessly experienced this joy. So good to let the Lord take us beyond our proper religious behaviour and fill us to the point of drunken stupor with His spirit!

Friday we looked at faith … from God’s point of view: His persuasion and His conviction. In the afternoon we baptised people in the lake.

Saturday: The incarnation continues ………… oh yes it does!

Maybe a few quotations of what people said to us, would be good:

One precious girl wrote to us: “I think without your speech I wouldn’t have fell in love with Jesus yesterday. I’m just jumping and singing…wonderful…”

Another new friend, Andras, sat down with me by the third day and said: “I have to confess, I hated foreign preachers. They always came preaching about what they have done for God, what God has done through them … and left me feeling totally inadequate, even afraid. But you came and told us what God has done for us, what He thinks of me … you impressed us with ourselves!”

Gyor

Sunday we greeted everyone and for the next two days we were treated like royalty by Jozsef and his extended family. Monday we had another home meeting at Jozsef’s place … we cannot exhaust this message!

We are so thankful for everyone who made this possible – especially Jozsef, Anita, Karesz and family, Vera, Thomas and family. We have been so enriched by your friendship. On the way back to Vienna airport we spoke to Karesz. He has organised these camps for about 30 years – some of them were discovered and broken up during the communist era. He said that this was undoubtedly the best camp ever! They have always known the love and grace of God, but what a fresh appreciation is stirred as we give new voice and accurate description to what has been ours since the very beginning. Wow – so thankful we could be part of it.

Many of our friends have also been part of this in prayer and in spirit, although they weren’t present in the flesh. Thank you!

He has embraced humanity! Declare His persuasion!

The mystery revealed … the [...]]]> John 1:14  … the word was made flesh …
In every religion and philosophy, word remains word – religion remains a theory and philosophy remains a guess. But in Jesus Christ, the Word is made flesh, reality is revealed – God’s thought is concluded in human life.

The mystery revealed … the word made flesh … Christ in you! (Col 1:27)

The Word’s final destination, ultimate expression, and permanent state … is not a book or an institution … it is flesh! In Christ Jesus, God declared that He did not want to exist as God alone, but God for, with and in man.

For just as rain and snow fall from heaven, and DO NOT RETURN … so shall My word be. (Is 55) When God became man, it was a permanent commitment – He invested all He is in man.

… and so the love of God compels us to make all men see, how completely they are embraced in Christ Jesus.

As surely as the best and most morally upright person was included in the fall of Adam, as surely the worst of sinners were included in the gift of justification in Christ Jesus.

Most animals are content with little more than food, but man has an appetite that seems insatiable. Mankind has a consciousness of value that drives us to explore every avenue, to push every limit, to tunnel through mountains, to build habitations in space, to invent a microscope like the Large Hadron Collider that is 27km long, to peer into the smallest detail of matter, in search of information … meaning … something that satisfies beyond mere survival.

Despite technological advances and the comforts of a modern age, man’s appetite and search for contentment has not been diminished. We travel more, we eat more, we have more gadgets and comforts, and the worlds information is at our fingertips. To pay for it all we work longer hours, live more complicated and demanding lives, but do these things bring us any closer to the secret of contentment?

In approximately 60 AD, a man under house arrest, bound by chains to a Roman soldier, wrote the following: “I have learned the secret of contentment, whatever my circumstances.” In another letter he wrote: “As you read you will understand my insight into the mystery of Christ.”
