The Mirror Message
Below is a series of short thoughts on the mirror-message
A mirror does not display potential, neither does it display yesterday; it displays the reality of who you are right now. Jesus is the mirror of your life, the reality of who you are right now. 2 Cor 3:18

When you look into a mirror, where is the substance? In the mirror … or does the mirror simply reflect the substance. The mystery revealed is Christ IN you. Col 1:27, 2 Cor 3:18
___________________
We see Jesus … as in a mirror. There is nothing wrong with Jesus … This mirror does not reveal your faults, it reveals your perfection. 2 Cor 3:18, Col 1:28

The mirror of His Word, should not be glanced at quickly. Look deeply, allow yourself to be mesmerized … and then look some more. Look until you find yourself transformed. Let the truth within this mirror inspire your life to become poetry – no longer mechanical effort, but rather spontaneous poetry! James 1:23-25, 2 Cor 3:18

Just like Adam recognised Eve as flesh of his flesh and bone of his bone, and that recognition of likeness became the basis of intimacy, so we recognise God as flesh of our flesh and bone of our bone in the person of Christ Jesus … And that recognition of likeness is the basis of intimacy.

Ilove the word, and enjoy the way you break it down.
here are some of the ways I do it, ,,it says when Christ who is your life appears then you shall appear with him, that word appear can be said in another way to help us , well the word appear can be also mean ‘revealed’,…….. ‘ when Christ is revealed to you’….., what about ‘ seen’ … ‘when Christ who is your life is seen by you’,
How about ‘’ when you see Christ as your life’’ well then of course it follows you will be revealed but to whom shall you be revealed to, of course it means you will be revealed to yourself…..or appear with him…..not some future event, but here and now.
So lets put it together ……when you see Christ as your true self, then you will be really seeing who you are… how about knowing…that’s similar to revealing
When you know Christ to be your life then you will know yourself.
When you see Christ, you see yourself… when you know Christ you know yourself….sounds like origin to me…..Christ the original man is the original you, for you were made in his image and likeness. Christ the true man, is the true you. He holds your identity as a frame, He frames your identity.
Your true image is reflected in Christ…
As you know Christ, you know yourself…..dont let a shadow of yourself distract you and get in the way of your true image.
See your true identity, he is not an elusive shadow that flits and flies like dancing sunbeams on a stream, mocking and deceiving you, but desires fully that you know him even as you are known. Sorry to be so long winded, but the last few months I have been devouring all you say and enjo0oing.
Susan, I’ve just read your comment again and am so stirred by it. Thank you! The true God is the God in whom we recognise ourselves 1 John 5:20
This is so good!!
The mirror shows that we are perfect.exactly same with Christ.now.
