God did not simply do something for you in the event of Christ Jesus, He did something with you.
His incarnation, when God became man, was the event and the person in whom I met God.
His death, was my death – the relationship with sin was severed.
His resurrection, was my resurrection – the original, pure and blameless person He imagined was raised in newness of life.
His ascension, was my ascension – raised to a place of honour, seated at the right hand of God, fully alive, fully myself.
Jesus is more than a historic person which is of potential benefit to me – He is the secret of my life. In Him all things consists.
