“Be still and know that I am God”

This is more than just being quiet, but a ceasing from all effort to try and gain His favour or approval, a knowing that He has made up His mind about us, before we could ever do anything to influence it. It is futile to seek to obtain something you already have! Rest, be still…and know.

Be still and know that I am God, be still and truly know that I am God

Quiet your mind and your thoughts in Me
Let me reveal the depth of My word to you
Let me show you how it will meet your need
Rest completely in what I’ve promised and

Be still and know that I am God, be still and truly know that I am God

Perceive with certainty and understanding
Remove all doubt and fear and trust in Me
Let me touch you with my intimacy
Know completely, rest securely and

Be still and know that I am God, be still and truly know that I am God

Thank goodness there is NOTHING we can DO to influence how He feels about us

  2. Andre Rabe says:

So True. There is such a huge difference in doing things in order to gain His approval, and doing things because of His approval. His favour motivates me, enthuses me and inspires action.

  3. Roddy says:

The desire to please God is the deep longing of the heart in every child of God . “embracing what God does for you is the “only” thing you can dofor him” ….This is the work of God that you believe….However the word unless mixed with faith does not bring any profit….This precious faith He gives us to live by is the only thing that puts a smile on the face of our Father.
