Imagine …

... a dimension before time or space began. Imagine being present to hear the conversation within the God-counsel that planned and purposed all that is. What is it that motivated God to create? Are you ready for a shocking truth? You were present! In fact you are the inspiration behind all of creation. God had you in mind even before the foundation of the earth and He is still just as excited about you as He was then! Read more about it here: Original Motivation

Thanks for the reminder. These words ring so much clearer seeing I have been away from the Bible for so long (self-imposed exile, trying to get rid of the religious baggage when I read it. But this was great – just shone with simple common sense.

    This bit:

“..The mystery in a nutshell is just this: Christ is in you, so therefore you can look forward to sharing in God’s glory.”

How do so many get sidetracked from that? Unless they don’t believe it, I guess, but this is just amazing.

    Hi Andre ,

There are so many distractions out there that want to eclipse Him and get us off centre . I love your passion for keeping Christ central and supreme in all things . Sometimes you can get the impression that Christ is not enough and so we add to Him by making it Christ plus what-ever ie. my vision , my teaching , my ministry . Christ alone is sufficient.

    Hi Andre,
“The revelation of Christ is what its all about” so true my friend my heart skips a beat just to hear those words . There is a lovely little verse in Song of Songs that says “my heart searches for the one it loves” It seems that our hearts know more that our heads and wont be satisfied with anything less.

You spoken about so many of the current preacher/prophets of today. It seems every week I open the newspaper to find an article about how one (or more) of these “men of God” has “fleeced the flock”.

The substance of our message – Christ. Isn’t it amazing, how Paul determines to know “nothing while I was with you except Christ and Him crucified”1 Cor 2:2,
“Our firm decision is to work from this focused center: One man died for everyone.”2 Corinth 5:4
How, whenever he prays, it is that the eyes of their hearts would be “opened”;”enlightened”;”flooded with light” , to the significance of this work. Something happened in Christ, that changed EVERYTHING – now we so need to focus on seeing Him clearly…
not getting distracted from the simplicity that is in Him.
He is all and in all!!
In seeing Him, we see ourselves in Him and are filled with a sense of fullness and completeness.
Let’s not be robbed from that simplicity – Christ! No more, no less.

Yes Mary Anne is,nt amazing indeed that Paul,s response to a church in crisis and full of problems was to determine to know nothing amoung them except Christ crucified . This Christ centred man knew the answer to all lifes issues . Did he not care ?, was he being evasive of real life issues. No , he sought to bring a new “transcendent” reality to bear upon the Church the reality of the unseen . This transcendent reality when seen causes us to regard the issues of life as not worth comparing . There is a place inside of Jesus Christ where we can live in the consciousness of the “it is finished” The realm where God speaks of the things that are not as though they were . I have been so meditating on this wonderful reality and asking God to open my eyes to what happened at the cross . It is a marvel to behold……
